This seminar addresses advanced CHEMCAD users which want to extend the use of the software. The CC-THERM module enables the rigorous calculation of heat transfer coefficients and pressure losses in heat exchangers. This allows a detailed geometric design of shell and tube heat exchangers, double pipe heat exchangers, plate heat exchangers and air coolers. In addition to the design mode, it is also possible to recalculate existing heat exchangers and to simulate these devices under changed operating conditions. Heat transfer and pressure losses can be calculated for single-phase and multiphase flows (e.g. in evaporators and condensers).

About the speaker

Jan Schöneberger holds a Ph.D. in the field of Process Development from the Technical University of Berlin. His professional experience includes four years of plant design with ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions and seven years of expert CHEMCAD support. He is currently Professor of Sustainable Process Engineering at the BHT - Berliner Hochschule für Technik.
